Orange Aero Privacy Notice for Candidates

This notice explains how any personal data that you provide to us (The Data Controller) or we collect from you (the Data Subject) will be processed by us.

● Any information you provide to us during an interview
● References if provided

The information is gathered from data subjects via a CV, email, telephone, post or in person during the recruitment process, or external sources such as referees. Personal data is securely stored on our internal systems.

If, in the future, we intend to process your personal data for a purpose other than that which it was collected, we will provide you with information on that purpose and any other relevant information.

Lawful Bases for Collecting and Storing your Personal Data

Legitimate Interests. GDPR definition: processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the Data Subject which require protection of personal data.

To enable us to carry out the recruitment process we need to process information about you such as your name, contact details, qualifications and career history etc.

Shared Personal Data
Your personal data may be shared with any referees that you have supplied to us, but only with your permission. Otherwise we do not sell, rent, exchange, give or otherwise share personally identifiable information with other organisations or individuals unless we are legally obliged to do so, or where we need to comply with our contractual duties to you.

Special Category Personal Data
We will not ask for Special Category Personal Data.

Data Retention
Following the recruitment process, if you are not subsequently employed by Orange Aero we will retain your personal data for 6 months, after which time your data will deleted and destroyed.

Data Transfers outside the EEA
We will not transfer your personal data outside of the EEA.


Your Rights

Right of Access
You have the right to access your personal data.

Right to Rectification
You have the right to have inaccurate personal data rectified. In certain circumstances we can refuse a request for rectification.

Right to Erasure
You have the right to have personal data erased. The right to erasure is also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’. The right is not absolute and only applies in certain circumstances.

Right to Restrict Processing
You have the right to request the restriction of your personal data. This is not an absolute right and only applies in certain circumstances.

Right to Data Portability
You have the right obtain and reuse your personal data for your own purposes across different services. It allows you to move, copy or transfer personal data easily from one IT environment to another in a safe and secure way, without hindrance to usability.

Right to Object
You have the right to object to us processing your personal data, unless we can demonstrate legitimate grounds for the processing, which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the individual; or if it is for legal claims.

Right to Complain
You have the right to complain to the ICO if you think there is a problem with the way we are handing your data.

Exercising your Rights
